About Crystal
Hello! I'm an illustrator with a deep love for immersive art, interactive media and games (especially narrative-based ones!) I have experience in comic work, game art, storyboarding, traditional media (pencils, pens, ink, watercolor, gouache) and digital media (digital painting, pixel art and voxel art). I have a Bachelor of Design (illustration major, storytelling electives), a Diploma of Game Design and have been an art mentor at Level Her Up's game jams. I worked at a weekend school for over four years, where I taught classes aged 7-15, and run creative workshops for local libraries. Whatever your ideas and goals, I look forward to meeting you and helping you complete your dream projects!

My focus is on helping students become resilient, confident learners who enjoy as much of the learning and making process as possible. Using your long-term goals, I create a plan of smaller milestones for us to work on and reach together. My classes are very personalised and flexible, using your learning style and preferences to create the best learning environment for you. I have regular check-ins with students to make sure they're getting the most out of each lesson and also have a student Discord where learners can share their work, progress, and give feedback to one another.
I have over 9 years of tutoring experience, including private tutoring, group classes and workshops. I've been lucky to work with students of diverse ages, cultural backgrounds and neurotypes, and enjoy working with local libraries to run art, comic and game design workshops.
No morning availabilities - sorry!
Lessons are typically between 1-2 hours - this depends on your goals, preferences and learning style. I am happy to teach all ages.
