About Gad

I've been singing and studying vocals for over 20 years. I started out in theatre where I learned classical singing techniques. Ventured into writing my own music at the age of 14 and started my 1st band by the age of 15. From then to now I've worked with Rock, Country, Progressive, Acoustic, Heavy Metal and Blues bands. As well as musicals and show tunes. After high school I worked with my local community centre on starting and running our town's 1st music club, focusing on mentoring young bands and musicians. In my college years, while studying songwriting and production in school I kept pursuing my vocal ambitions and began my work with more modern singing techniques and schools of thought such as SSL and CVT. After learning so much about the different aspect of voice production, new and old, popular and extreme, I decided it's time I ventured into teaching. Today I am a BAST graduate and a certified vocal coach. My hope is to enrich and guide as many like-minded singers with the knowledge and experience I've accumulated over the years in a fun and exciting way! Singing is not only singing. It's acting, it's composing, and sometimes it's screaming too ;) But it's always about connecting. So drop me a line, let's connect.

About the lesson

A short FREE ONLINE ASSESSMENT lesson is available for new students. Lessons are held in my home studio or online via Zoom. All lessons are 60 minutes long - you get the full hour. Lesson will be tailored to your level and singing goals but would usually consist of technique work and song application. I encourage all of my students to dedicate 5 minutes every day to their practice and to come to the lesson with their songs of choice. All studio lessons are audio recorded and emailed to the student alongside lesson notes.

The improvement in my voice after taking lessons with Gadd has been incredible! And it’s more than just the outcome - he makes the lessons so enjoyable that I look forward to them every week. His dedication to his students’ practice (both during the session and between them - he’s always happy to respond to emails with suggestions and advice) is above and beyond any other experience I’ve had with a tutor. I’ve already sent several friends of mine his way and they’ve said the same!

I highly recommend Gad! I had the chance to take several one-to-one lessons with Gad and I got really great professional guidance. Gad always provided a recording of the session, so I didn't need to take notes during the lesson and was able to relax and stay focused. He is attentive to details and supported me throughout the learning process. I would highly recommend Gad as a tutor to anybody looking to either start from scratch, or to continue their learning.
