About Taylyn
Hi, I’m Taylyn! I’m a patient, dependable, and encouraging tutor who enjoys helping students feel more confident in their math abilities. I understand that every student learns differently, so I take the time to explain concepts clearly and adjust my approach based on each student’s needs.
I provide support with elementary and middle school math, homework, practice problems, and reviewing challenging concepts. My goal is to create a comfortable learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions, work through mistakes, and build skills at their own pace.
Whether a student needs help understanding a new topic, completing an assignment, or simply wants extra practice, I’m here to provide friendly and consistent support. I believe that with patience, practice, and the right explanation, every student can make progress and become more confident in math.

Hi! My name is Taylyn, and I’m a patient and supportive tutor who focuses on helping students understand math rather than simply memorizing steps. I work with elementary and middle school students who need extra practice, homework assistance, or a little more confidence in their math skills.
My teaching approach is personalized to each student. I first identify what the student understands and where they are struggling, then explain the concept in simple, easy-to-follow steps. I use examples, practice problems, and guided questions to help students work through problems on their own. I encourage students to ask questions and make mistakes because learning from mistakes is an important part of building confidence.
A typical lesson begins with reviewing what the student is currently learning and identifying any questions or difficult areas. We then work through examples together before moving into practice problems. I provide guidance when needed while encouraging the student to solve problems independently. We finish by reviewing what was learned and making sure the student feels comfortable with the material.
What sets me apart is my patience and willingness to explain things in different ways until a student finds an approach that makes sense to them. I want students to leave each lesson feeling more confident and capable, not frustrated or overwhelmed.
My lessons are designed for elementary and middle school students who need help with math, homework, reviewing difficult concepts, practicing skills, or preparing for upcoming assignments and tests.
