About Mmesoma
My name is Nwajagu Mmesoma Merit. Growing up, I was raised more with English, so I had to go out of my own way to learn Igbo. I did it because I realized our Igbo culture is very strong and it needs to be preserved.
I want to teach Igbo because it helps us connect with our people, especially those who are not fluent in English, and it helps us understand who we really are. I want to help my students not just speak Igbo, but build pride in our culture and widen their perspective on it.
