About Simone

Hi, I'm Simone! I specialise in secondary Maths and VCE General Maths, as well as English and Biology.

I have a Bachelor of Science (Genetics and Psychology) and a Bachelor of Arts (Philosophy). You might say I love to learn, and hopefully that enthusiasm rubs off on you!

I believe that confidence makes a huge difference to how students approach their schoolwork. I love helping students recognise their strengths, overcome challenges and develop the skills to become more independent learners.

I've worked with students across all levels of secondary school, helping them improve their grades, build confidence in their abilities and develop more effective study habits.

My approach is friendly, patient and encouraging. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and tackling things they previously found intimidating.

About the lesson

Every student learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to your individual strengths, interests and goals.

Whether you're struggling with foundational maths skills, tackling unfamiliar problems, revising course content or preparing for assessments and exams, I'll help you identify the specific skills you need to improve.

I break challenging problems into smaller, manageable steps, helping you understand not just how to reach an answer, but why the method works.

For VCE General Maths students, I place particular emphasis on applying mathematical concepts, using your CAS calculator effectively and understanding what examiners are looking for.

My goal isn't simply to help you get better marks. It's to give you the tools to become a more confident, capable and independent student.

Simone is an extraordinary tutor with an unending commitment to her students. My daughter had Simone for Year 12 Biology, English Language and Maths. She went out of her way to challenge and provide meaningful extension, which enabled my daughter the ability to trust herself and remain calm throughout the year and exams. Simone provided guidance on exam preparation and strategies to successfully complete each exam with confidence.
I cannot speak more highly of Simone. We're a household of raving fans!
