About Angel
Hi, I’m Angel, an experienced online tutor specialising in National 5 Maths, Biology and Chemistry. (Also experienced in GCSE and similar Exam boards)
I have completed over 500 hours of tutoring through Tutorful and private teaching, supporting students with a wide range of abilities and learning styles. My academic background includes three years of medical school, followed by Computer Science, and I currently work as a software developer at NatWest, giving me a strong analytical and structured approach to teaching.
I am professional, reliable, and patient, and I aim to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence. I take pride in being well-prepared for lessons and adapting my teaching to help each student make consistent progress.

My approach to tutoring is structured, supportive, and tailored to each student. I start by identifying the student’s current level, exam board, and specific goals, then create a clear plan focusing on exam technique, core understanding, and confidence. I place strong emphasis on why things work, not just memorising methods, so students can apply their knowledge independently in exams.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes and delivered online. A usual session includes a short review of homework, guided explanation of new content, worked examples together, and exam-style questions with feedback. I regularly adapt lessons to focus on weaker areas and use clear explanations, visual aids, and step-by-step problem solving.
My lessons are suitable for National 5 and GCSE students, typically aged 11–16, whether they need support catching up, structured revision, or help building confidence before exams.
