About Mary
I've tutored students from kindergarten through sixth grade. I would love to hear from you and what your struggles are in school, and hopefully together we can both be successful. I would only ask that you put forth your best effort, and never condescend to a student for not knowing something. Why not give me a shot at helping you?

I'm currently finishing my second year of AmeriCorps service as Tutor Mentor in the elementary schools. As a child, I struggled a lot with my studies, but especially with math. I now know ways to explain solving equations to kids in a language they can understand. I've also volunteered to tutor students at The Boys and Girls Club. I truly enjoy the company of children, and find it immensely satisfying to help them succeed in school.
