About Emily
Hi, I'm Emily! I am super passionate about math education and love working with students to improve their math intuition, strengthen problem-solving skills, deepen their conceptual understanding, and develop growth mindsets. I have quite a bit of teaching experience, working with students of all abilities. I truly believe that every student can learn math. Teaching experience: -high school math teacher for 4 years (Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry) -college TA (Calculus 2, Math for Business) Education: -BS in math -current PhD student in applied math

I tailor lessons to each student's needs, blending theory with real-world applications. I use visual aids, guided practice, and active questioning to build intuition and problem-solving skills. A typical lesson includes a quick recap, focused concept explanation, example walkthroughs, and practice problems.
My strength lies in making complex ideas clear and engaging and developing problem-solving strategies. I tutor mostly high school students and undergraduate students as I have teaching experience at both those levels, but enjoy tutoring students of all ages and levels!
