About Dr Revi

I am a multi-award-winning economist with five formal teaching awards from the London School of Economics—two from the Economics Department, two from the Management Department, and one student-led teaching excellence award for innovative teaching. I am also the recipient of the prestigious John M. Gunn Scholarship, awarded to a single student each year for academic excellence. Across my 20-year teaching and tutoring career, I have completed more than 12,000 hours of personalised instruction.

I served for a decade at the LSE, held a stipendiary lecturer position in economics at Corpus Christi College, University of Oxford, and led multiple courses at Sciences Po. I have also participated in admissions selection at the University of Oxford (PPE, E&M, E&H) and the Columbia–Sciences Po Dual BA, giving me unique insight into what elite institutions expect from their applicants. My aim as an educator is to make advanced material accessible and engaging. I work closely with students to build confidence, sharpen intuition, and achieve meaningful academic progress.

Official teaching experience:

LSE (*official* modules I taught)

Introduction to Economics (EC102, now EC1A1 and EC1B1),
Mathematics and Statistics for Economists (EC400),
Econometrics: Theory and Application (MG205),
Managerial Economics (MG207 & MG431),
Quantitative Analysis in Management (MG461),
Marketing (MG101),
Intermediate Microeconomics (EC220, now EC2A3 and EC2B1),
Econometrics for Graduate students (EC402),
Industrial Economics (EC313)
Econometrics: Theory and Application (MG205)
Corporate Strategy (MG220)

University of Oxford (*official* modules I taught)

Finance,
Introduction to Economics (Prelims),
Industrial Organisation (3rd-year option),
Quantitative Methods (2nd-year course)

Sciences Po (*official* modules I designed and lectured)
Macroeconomics,
Development Economics,
Introduction to Statistics,
Econometrics

Given my wide ranging official experience, I can be a 'one-stop-shop' for any student studying economics at undergraduate or graduate level. Across all my tutorials, I emphasise exam technique, conceptual mastery, and independent problem-solving skills that elevate student performance.

Prior student reviews and testimonials from *official* and anonymous student surveys at LSE:

"Definitely used last term’s feedback! Best teacher ever! Thank you so much!”

“Knowing members of the class was helpful since it is not happening in other classes. The clarity of presentation is brilliant. So far, the best teacher at LSE.”

“Classes were extremely interesting, the teacher integrated students very well creating interest and motivation. One of the best teachers I’ve had so far.”

“Found classes very useful. Best teacher.”

“He made time to make sure we understand. Nominated for the TOM awards.”

“Very good at involving class members”.

“Thank you for your great teaching techniques.”

“Really pushed me to participate in class and kept progress in a relaxed and fun way. Nice examples given to explain theories.”

“Really like your class and find it very helpful, especially when you use games and real life examples to demonstrate many concepts or questions.”

“Great explanations, I like the learning outcomes at the start.”

“Revi has been a great teacher. Explained all the difficult of the first look problems in a simple manner. The best teacher I’ve had at LSE so far. Keep it up Revi!”

My lessons provide rigorous, intuitive, and results-driven teaching across Statistics within the setting of Mathematics, Economics, Accounting, and Business. With over 20 years of combined teaching experience at the London School of Economics, the University of Oxford, and Sciences Po, I specialise in breaking down complex ideas into clear, memorable insights that help students excel. In every tutorial, I do not lose sight of the main goal: help the tutee achieve a better exam result.

I adapt each session to the student’s goals whether it is improving exam grades, building strong foundational understanding, preparing for competitive applications, or mastering graduate-level content. My teaching style combines clarity, “big picture” intuition, active questioning, and real-world examples and lots of targeted past papers. This ensures students not only learn the material but understand why and how it works.

Extensive experience tutoring for LSE/Warwick/UCL/King's College modules including first year modules such as EC1A1 (Microeconomics I), ST109 and ST107 (Statistical Theory), EC1C1 (Econometrics I), second year modules such as EC2A1 (Microeconomics II), EC2B1 (Macroeconomics II) and EC2C1 (Econometrics II) and third year modules such as EC315 (International Economics)
