About Freyja
From being as young as I can remember, I have always been singing. Around the house I would wander humming whatever tune was stuck in my head.
By the age of ten, some people (including my mum) had said they thought I was pretty good and should maybe find a group to sing with. I went once...once... I hated it. It was not for me. However, by the age of eleven, I had discovered piano and played as much as I could.
Discovering that a keyboard wasn't the most portable instrument to take to an open mic, so I started teaching myself guitar and again, played as much as I could.
That decision turned into a 16 year long journey within music and I thank younger me daily for the amount of time she put in.
ANYWAY...fast forward to now, I have completed a university degree, performed at multiple festivals in multiple countries and played over 600 gigs to date.
Some of my biggest achievements include:
- Performing in Huntington Beach, USA for a festival.
- Creating a band for my original material
- Playing Kendal Calling, twice.
- Achieving the highest grade I could at university.

As a recent graduate from Leeds Conservatoire, I am excited to put what I have learnt into practice through teaching.
I am an advocate for the neurodiverse community, I aim to create a calm, kind, encouraging, 'go at your own pace' environment for my students.
I also love to sing in different languages, Norwegian being one of my favourites. So, I really am happy to cater to whatever needs a student may want :)
