About Alice
I have just completed my A Levels, and am currently on a gap year. I have been lucky enough to go to Kenya, working at a prep school as a classroom assistant, sports coach, and in the boarding house. I had a great time working with the children, whose ages ranged from 3 to 13. I have a place at Durham University for September 2025, to study sociology. I have a big passion for music, and have aimed to be involved in it from an early age, throughout my education. I have been lucky with my flute to be able to play individually, and in a range of groups. These have included a flute-only group (called the 'Flute Pastilles'), an orchestra, a wind band, and even a rock band! I have dabbled in a range of genres, including classical (which has been my main focus), jazz and pop.

I am a passionate musician, loads of fun and a committed teacher. My lessons would provide a 1 on 1, focused session, looking at how to read music, learn the fingering on the flute, and playing a range of pieces, from classical to jazz. I can be enormously flexible with the length of lessons, and can adapt what I teach according to the students' interests. I have experience with the ABRSM and Trinity exam boards, and can help guide pupils through this process, if they so wish to. Having just spent 3 months as a classroom assistant in Kenya, I love teaching children!
