About Thomas
Hi, I'm Tom. I recently graduated from Oxford Univesirty with a first class Masters degree in Chemistry. I thoroughly enjoyed my studies and find it extremely rewarding helping others to better understand and enjoy learning. I also have an enhanced DBS check.
During my time at University, I aided students at my old secondary school during the holidays. I taught a range of students, from year 7 to 13, in maths and science. Not only was the teaching itself something I found extremely rewarding, but I knew that it was helping those students better reach their potential and improve access to university.
I have always enjoyed science and maths, which allowed me to better understand the world around me and to use problem-solving skills. This enthusiasm is something I try to pass on to my students as much as possible to enhance their understanding of topics and their enjoyment of learning.

I teach up to A-level in chemistry, maths and physics.
I am friendly and patient with the students that I tutor. I try to make my lessons as active as possible for the student so that they can remain engaged; whether that be testing their knowledge throughout or going through past paper questions.
I am flexible in my tutoring, adopting the lesson to the style that is best for each student. I have found during my experience that every student is unique and so this is vital to their learning experience.

Perfect! Thomas is a nice teacher. He explains concepts with detail and makes sure students understand the topic very well.

Perfect! My son has been taking chemistry gcse lessons from Thomas. The feedback has been extremely positive in terms of how clear Thomas has been in presenting new material and checking that the underlying foundations are firmly in place, before moving on. My son felt engaged and motivated in his chemistry studies for the first time. Highly recommended without hesitation
