About Shikhar
I'm a First-Class Computer Science graduate from the University of Birmingham, with real teaching experience gained through a university Java lab assistant role and a computing teaching internship where I co-designed and delivered a Python curriculum to GCSE students.
Beyond academia, I work in tech and data analytics, building tools and analysing data day-to-day — so I bring real-world context to every lesson, not just textbook theory.
I'm patient, approachable, and genuinely enjoy helping people understand concepts that once felt confusing. I believe anyone can succeed in Computer Science with the right guidance and a structured, encouraging environment.

I hold a First-Class BSc in Computer Science from the University of Birmingham and have hands-on teaching experience, having assisted Java lab sessions at university and co-delivered a Python curriculum to GCSE students during a teaching internship.
My lessons are tailored to each student — I start by understanding their exam board (AQA, OCR, or Edexcel), their current level, and how they learn best. From there, I build a clear roadmap from the basics right through to advanced topics, with milestones along the way so progress feels tangible and motivating.
Sessions typically run for one hour and blend concept explanation, worked examples, and hands-on coding practice. I focus on exam technique alongside understanding — past paper questions, mark scheme logic, and common mistakes. Resources are personalised: I share notes, practice tasks, and curated links suited to your board's specification.
