I am a Technology Degree Apprentice in the FinTech industry, a role I secured following a high-achieving academic career where I earned A*A*A*A at A-Level in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Computer Science, and Physics. My background allows me to bridge the gap between complex classroom theory and its practical application in high-stakes financial environments. I decided to become a tutor because I understand the pressure of the current GCSE and A-Level landscape. During my own A-Level exams, I remember sitting in the exam hall, my heart pounding as the clock ticked down the last five minutes, worrying if I had done enough to secure those top grades. I know exactly what it takes to achieve the highest grades because I have recently navigated these exams myself. My professional experience in one of the world's most competitive industries has taught me the importance of clarity, precision, and problem-solving, skills I pass on to every student I coach. I provide highly structured, result-oriented lessons for GCSE and A-Level students in Mathematics and Computer Science. Having achieved A*A*A*A at A-Level and currently working as a Technology Degree Apprentice in FinTech, I don't just teach for the exam; I teach how these concepts power the modern world. My Methodology: The "First Principles" Approach: We break down complex topics (like Calculus or Data Structures) into simple building blocks to ensure genuine understanding rather than rote memorisation. Active Recall & Past Paper Mastery: We focus heavily on exam technique, using real mark schemes to ensure students know exactly how to secure top marks. Industry Context: I bring real-world examples from my experience in the financial technology sector to make abstract concepts like "Algorithms" or "Statistics" come to life. Lesson Logistics: Duration: Typically 60 or 90 minutes, depending on the student's needs. Target Audience: Year 10 to Year 13 students aiming for top grades (Levels 7-9 or A-A*).
