About Chermaine
Chermaine is a UK-based singing teacher in training with a strong professional background in music performance and songwriting. She holds a degree in Songwriting and is currently training to become a qualified music teacher.
As an artist, Chermaine has released original music, performed live across the UK and internationally, and gained extensive stage experience as a soloist, band member, and in theatrical productions. This real-world performance background informs her teaching, giving students practical insight into both the technical and expressive sides of singing and musicianship.
Alongside vocal coaching, Chermaine offers songwriting and music theory tuition for students from Year 6 transitioning into secondary school, through to GCSE level. Her aim is to make music theory accessible, engaging, and confidence-building for young learners.
Chermaine welcomes students from complete beginners to intermediate singers, including those that are preparing for exams, or looking to refine their performance skills and artistic identity.

Singing is both a technical skill and a deeply personal form of expression. My lessons are designed to help you build a healthy, confident, and authentic voice—whatever your starting point.
In our sessions, you will learn:
Safe, sustainable vocal technique to support both singing and speaking
Foundational understanding of vocal anatomy and how your voice works
Breathing and body awareness techniques to support vocal freedom and control
Performance skills to help you connect emotionally and confidently with your audience
Tailored song choice and repertoire development to suit your voice and style
Integrated music theory support where needed, from beginners through to GCSE level
My teaching approach is supportive, practical, and focused on helping you get out of your head and into your voice. The goal is to build confidence, musicality, and freedom in your singing so that your unique sound can come through naturally.
Whether you want to sing for enjoyment, prepare for exams, or develop as a performer, lessons are adapted to your goals and pace.

Perfect! As a mum, I’m really happy with my son’s first singing lesson with Chermaine. He was quite nervous beforehand, but she put him at ease really quickly with her kind and patient approach. She’s clearly very knowledgeable and explains vocal technique in a way that’s easy for beginners to understand and start using straight away.
He came out of the lesson smiling and much more confident, which was lovely to see. He said it was fun and engaging, and he’s already looking forward to the next one.
