About Ryan
I have over 10+ years of experience working in financial services. In my most recent role, Excel was my primary tool to answer client questions using their own data. I built complex, custom formulas daily to fit client needs and arrive at a result that satisfied their request. I have a passion for Excel and VBA that has only grown over my career. I have built countless tools to automate processes, not just through Excel formulas, but through VBA code to manipulate data.

Whether you are a student or a professional wanting to improve your Excel and/or VBA skills, let's chat about your needs. Wherever you are in your learning journey, we will build upon your skills and knowledge of Excel. Each lesson, we will check in on your comprehension from the previous session and what you want to learn more about. Part of my teaching method is to explain not just how a subject works, but how Excel interprets your input and why.
Over my 10+ years working in financial services, I have consistently improved upon my own Excel skills, learning through trial and error, through research, and through watching others. I also have been one that peers rely on to help them solve problems through excel, and to show them a new skill.
As part of my methods, I believe in helping you understand a concept, followed by your applying the concept in practice, and trial and error. I'm always happy to answer Excel questions as best I can, and rephrase my answers to help you understand.
