About Tia
I am in my final year of my Modern Languages degree at the University of Birmingham, and I have a true love and passion for languages.
I started learning Spanish three years ago, starting it from scratch at university, and I now have a high proficiency in the language, having spent my entire year abroad in Seville.
I learnt so much Spanish, from the Spanish people themselves, so I can give you all the tips and tricks for sounding more native!

I believe that the best way to learn a language is to practice, practice, practice! So I like to make my lessons as fun and interactive as possible, and make sure to get your brain working!
I focus my lessons on working through listening and reading exam questions together, to help you better understand and comprehend the language.
We can do lots of speaking practice, where we engage in conversations at your level, and I give you useful constructive feedback. We can prepare for speaking exams too!
I love to get my students working hard with grammar worksheets too, because getting familiar with grammar seriously improves your spoken and written accuracy and proficiency in a language.
I also teach lots of advanced constructions and techniques you can use to "show off" to the examiner (or to anyone for that matter!)
I have taught several GCSE students, in recent years, which gave me great pleasure and reward, especially seeing them grow in confidence and improve their grades.
