About Tanisha

I am a fifth-year B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) student at the University School of Law and Legal Studies (USLLS), Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. My academic work and legal research experience have deepened my interest in the Constitution, political institutions, rights, and social justice - interests that I bring to teaching Political Science and Sociology.

As a student myself, I understand how overwhelming dense textbooks and exam preparation can feel. My aim is to make these subjects accessible, engaging, and relevant, helping students understand the ideas behind the material rather than simply memorize it.

I offer a patient, approachable learning environment where questions are welcome and lessons move at a pace suited to the student. Through clear explanations, everyday examples, and focused answer-writing practice, I aim to help school students develop both confidence in their understanding and the ability to express their ideas effectively.

About the lesson

My Political Science and Sociology classes are designed for school students who want to understand their subjects clearly, write stronger answers, and approach their board examinations with confidence. As a law student, I bring a particular interest in the connections between politics, society, rights, and everyday life.

My teaching approach
I focus on understanding rather than rote memorisation. I explain concepts in accessible language and use real-life examples, current affairs, and discussion-based questions to make abstract ideas easier to grasp. In Political Science, I help students connect institutions, political developments, and international relations. In Sociology, I encourage them to examine social structures, inequality, cultural change, and their own observations of society.

Lessons combine textbook explanations with concise notes, flowcharts, comparisons, and recall exercises. I also guide students on using relevant terminology and organising their answers clearly.

The usual structure of a class
Each class begins with a short recap and a check of any doubts. We then work through the topic step by step, discuss examples, and practise a few questions. The session ends with a summary and a manageable revision task. Dedicated revision classes focus on connecting chapters, practising answers, and addressing areas that need more attention.

What makes my classes different
My approach is patient, interactive, and adaptable. Students are encouraged to ask questions without hesitation. I aim to explain not just what a concept means, but why it matters, while balancing conceptual clarity with exam-focused preparation.
