About Muhammad
I'm Luqman — a passionate Chemistry teacher with over 10 years of experience and QTS status. I currently teach at a grammar school, which means I work daily with high-achieving students and understand exactly what it takes to succeed at the highest level.
I've also served as Head of the Chemistry Department, where I developed curriculum, mentored teachers, and drove improvements in student outcomes. Outside of school, I'm the founder of LuqChem Online Academy, through which I've helped students across the UK and worldwide achieve top grades in GCSE, IGCSE, and A-Level Chemistry.
I cover all major exam boards — AQA, OCR, Edexcel, and CAIE — so whatever specification you're following, I know it inside out. This includes students sitting Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level exams, both in the UK and internationally.
But qualifications only tell part of the story. What drives me is seeing a student go from dreading Chemistry to genuinely understanding it. I believe every student can succeed in this subject when it's taught clearly, patiently, and with the right tools. That's what I show up to do in every single lesson.

I teach using GoodNotes, building clear visual notes in real time that you can revisit after every lesson. Past paper questions are woven into every session — not saved for the end — so you're always practising the way the examiner wants to see it.
As a qualified examiner, I know exactly how mark schemes work, where students lose marks without realising, and how to correct misconceptions at the root. My feedback isn't guesswork — it's examiner-level precision.
