About Seshadri

I am a passionate visual artist and dedicated educator with over a decade of experience in both teaching and creating art. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Santipur B.Ed. College, I specialize in integrating creative arts into education, helping students explore artistic expression through painting, illustration, sculpting, and digital media. With a strong foundation in fine arts and a deep understanding of artistic techniques, I focus on nurturing creativity, critical thinking, and self-expression among my students. My teaching approach blends hands-on practice with theoretical insights, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience. Beyond academia, I actively engage in professional illustration, digital art, and research on symbolism, media evolution, and visual storytelling. I am committed to continuous learning, experimenting with emerging artistic trends, and sharing my expertise with aspiring artists of all levels.

# **My Approach as a Teacher: Nurturing Creativity & Critical Thinking** As an educator and visual artist, my teaching philosophy revolves around fostering creativity, encouraging self-expression, and developing a deep understanding of artistic techniques and concepts. I believe that art is not just about skill but also about perception, storytelling, and the ability to communicate ideas visually. --- # **Teaching Techniques & Methods** I incorporate a variety of teaching methods tailored to students' needs and learning styles. My approach includes: **Hands-on Learning:** I emphasize practical demonstrations, live sketching, and interactive exercises to help students grasp concepts effectively. **Theoretical Foundations:** I introduce students to art history, different artistic movements, and theoretical aspects that influence their work. **Technology Integration:** I integrate digital tools like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Corel Painter, and AI-driven design software (Midjourney, DALL·E) to familiarize students with modern creative techniques. **Critical Thinking & Analysis:** I encourage students to analyze artworks, develop their unique perspectives, and explore the meaning behind their creations. **Collaborative Learning:** I organize group discussions, critiques, and project-based assignments to enhance peer learning and idea exchange. --- # **Structure of a Class** Each class is designed to balance theory and practice, ensuring a well-rounded learning experience: **Introduction (10-15 min):** Overview of the day's topic, discussion on related artists or historical context. **Demonstration (20-30 min):** Live demonstration of techniques, brushwork, or digital tools. **Practice Session (40-60 min):** Students create their own work with personalized guidance. **Discussion & Feedback (15-20 min):** Students present their work, receive constructive feedback, and reflect on improvements. **Wrap-up & Assignments:** Summary of key learnings and creative assignments for independent practice. --- # **My Special Features as a Teacher** **Adaptability:** I customize lessons based on individual skill levels, ensuring that beginners and advanced learners progress at their own pace. **Encouraging Creative Freedom:** I motivate students to explore their unique artistic voices rather than just replicating existing styles. **Cross-Disciplinary Approach:** I connect art with psychology, storytelling, and technology to broaden students' perspectives. **Professional Insights:** With experience as an artist, illustrator, and designer, I provide industry-relevant knowledge and career guidance. --- # **Who Can Join My Classes?** My classes are open to all age groups and skill levels: **School Children (Age 10+)** – Foundation in drawing, colors, and basic techniques. **College Students & Art Enthusiasts** – Advanced techniques, portfolio building, and conceptual art development. **Aspiring & Professional Artists** – Specialized guidance in painting, digital art, and illustration. **Teachers & Educators** – Training in integrating arts into education for effective pedagogy. **Adults & Hobbyists** – Creative expression, relaxation, and skill enhancement through structured guidance. Through my teaching, I aim to cultivate a deep appreciation for art, enhance technical proficiency, and inspire students to push their creative boundaries.
