About Michael
I’m a yoga teacher with more than 20,000 hours of teaching experience and I’ve worked one-on-one with hundreds of clients.
When working with a new practitioner, I like to collaborate and co-create a multi-pronged approach that is wholly satisfying, challenging, and valuable. The goal of my work with any new student is to find the very best way to share a wonderful and nourishing collection of practices that empower the student to develop a personal practice that is *just* for them
I've spent the last decade studying yoga at the source, India, in 3-4 month increments, yearly. In 2014, I was authorized to teach Ashtanga Yoga from the Ashtanga Yoga Institute in Mysore-- an accreditation that is respected world wide.
I teach physical practice with a mind towards applied anatomy, meaning a focus on functional movement that elevates the quality of life for anyone who moves. I am an certified personal trainer (NASM-cot) and a mobility specialist (FRCms).
I am the go-to guy for yoga teachers, Pilates instructors, and personal trainers. I love working individually and in small groups to help folks understand the purpose of practice, learn how to practice, and ultimately love yoga -- which is all about getting to know yourself.

1) We do a phone consult to insure we're a good match, and to help clear up any questions the prospective student may have.
2) Initial Assesment: we identify the goals of the practitioner, the style best suited to reach said goals, and if appropriate run a functional movement assesment.
