About Caroline
Welcome to space • yoga! All are welcome here.
The mission of space • yoga is to foster the creation of space within body and mind through movement, breath, and personal observation. Making space with intention allows us to release emotions so we can think clearly, feel a greater sense of peace within and with others, and gives us room to grow into the best version of ourselves.
Classes are guided by Caroline Berkey, a 200-hour yoga teacher registered with the Yoga Alliance. A range of styles are offered from gentle and beginner-friendly slower-paced classes, to energetic power yoga, to yoga with props and modifications such as chairs, blocks, and straps. Yoga is a gift that can be shared with everyone. There is no one size fits all yoga class, but there is a yoga style that feels good and beneficial for your specific body. Let's find it together! :)
I love to see the feeling of confidence and joy students have when their body starts to feel good and surprises them with what it can do!
When I first started practicing yoga several years ago, I never thought I would teach! Over the years, yoga gave me a reason to move, a way to feel joy and process emotions, and the space I needed to reflect and become a better person. The seed of teaching is planted into every student, and naturally it grows until it decides to bloom! Once I reached that point, I felt a desire to teach others and share everything I had learned. I enrolled in yoga teacher training and jumped right in! That said, I will always enjoy being a student and am constantly learning new things about myself and yoga. Student for life!
200-hour yoga teacher training via High Vibration Living Yoga School in St Petersburg, FL. This training was facilitated at The Body Electric Yoga and Athletic in St Petersburg, a mindful company offering the best and highest value trainings and classes there is to offer.

Teacher and student(s) may discuss interest and offerings via an introductory email, text, or phone call, whatever is preferred by the student. From there we will determine the best location and type of class for you!
I have worked with students familiar with the practice of Yoga, as well as students who have never tried yoga before! A range of ages, genders, and body types. I especially enjoy teaching beginners, people who sit at a desk or are confined in their movement due to their jobs or lifestyle, and anyone who wants to add more movement into their daily life.
Look for a teacher that you feel you can connect with and feel safe with. Provide them details about what you are looking for. Try them out, or have a discussion with them, and if they are not a good fit for you then there is no pressure to keep going. Never feel pressured!
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What is your body telling you on a daily basis? A weekly basis? Monthly basis?
What are your goals, and how do they relate to what your body is telling you?
What brings you to yoga? What interests you about yoga?
Are you interested in having a one-on-one guided yoga class, a workshop on a specific pose, or talking through yoga principles and anatomy? In other words, what type of yoga class are you looking for?
