About Brian
Private trumpet lessons locally by a seasoned professional. Retired, with over 40 years experience as a pro-player and teacher, now offering private "in your home" trumpet lessons, especially for the "beginner" or older struggling students lacking basic developmental skills to effectively improve and eventually master this "solo" and unique brass instrument.
Considered an accomplished player at age 12,and later in High School, I was blessed to have known and played with the great "Rafael Mendez", Internationally known as "The World's Greatest Trumpeter" After graduation I had the rare privilege of his personal counsel and experience. Over the years I have also known and been personally influenced by other such great artists as Arturo Sandoval, Joe Marcinkiewicz, Bobby Shew, Al Hirt, Steve Cannon, David O'Neill and others, most recently a private session with Arturo Sandoval in his home studio, with studies he shared from Louis Maggio and other notable mentors.
From many years of experience, I am able to share some of the most proven and successful methods of instruction to only the "serious" beginning and struggling students of the instrument.. After consideration ,I am open to interview prospective students. Reasonable private lesson rates, either at student's home, preferably, or my home studio in Reading. Only SERIOUS students need apply.
