About Astrid
Spanish is a little more complex language than English, but being a native Spanish speaker with excellent gramma knowledge and use, I can help you to improve your Spanish skills, or proofread your texts if you so prefer.
My professional career has always involved a lot of written and spoken tasks: research reports, press releases, presentations, speeches. I am sure that working together will be a mutual enriching experience.
I love a well written text or an excellent speech in Spanish. For me, the accent is less important than the content. Since I was at school, my gramma teachers (Spanish nuns) showed me the importance of a job without mistakes. I want the same for you.
I have teached different issues during most of my professional life, and I am very good in Spanish grammar. So, I decided to tie these two abilities since many people used to ask for my help as Spanish proofreader.
I am a native Spanish speaker, from Venezuela, and my teachers were mainly Spanish nuns, who used to challenge students to identify mistakes and write in Spanish properly. I feel very proud to say that I have that ability and I have used it along my professional career in market research and public relations.

I think that getting to know each other first is key for a successful process. I like to know how much Spanish my student knows, what are their objectives in learning and why, and how motivated they are to continue improving. From there, I try to adapt my classes, working harder in those areas that need it instead of following a unique program. I encourage them to speak in Spanish during the classes because, at the end, this is usually the main motivator: to be able to speak and understand this language.
