It is a fulfilling career to empower human beings with the ability to defend themselves, to instill confidence in students, and to watch the transformation in people who adopt a healthy Muay Thai lifestyle.
I got started teaching as new students would come in to the class where I first began and wanted someone with experience to tutor them at times. From there, I used teaching Muay Thai as barter, and began being invited to teach with others. Ultimately, this led to me attending the Muay Thai Academy in Bangkok to become educated in the official curriculum of the Thai government and graduating as a certified/licensed/accredited Kru with Great Grand Master Toddy's Bangkok Academy, the MTIA (Muay Thai International Association), and Thailand's Department of Education.

Licensed Kru with the MTIA (Muay Thai International Association).
Accredited Kru with the Thai Ministry of Education.
Retired US Army Airborne combat veteran.

Single 1-hour lessons, 5-packs, and 10-packs available.
*Private lessons are generally available between the hours of 12Noon & 9PM Mon - Saturdays, and by appointment only.
Students must sign an ethics statement, waiver of liability, cancellation fee agreement, and pay before lessons.
I have taught both male and female students, ages ranging from 5-60+ years old, first-time beginners to professional fighters, from various countries all around the globe.
When locating a Muay Thai teacher; find someone who is positive, patient, disciplined, and hard-wroking. If you find a teacher who respects the art and takes teaching it seriously as well as willing to both demand a high standard from the student but is also tempered to be patient with students, you have found a truly competent and professional teacher who will train you correctly.
I had the honor and privilege of assisting (mostly as a guinea-pig and prop, LOL) undefeated Muay Thai Champion (110-0) Dieselnoi Chor Thanasukarn in teaching the "King of Knees" course for a class at the Bangkok Muay Thai Academy.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
When talking to your Muay Thai instructor about your training and goals; remember to communicate openly and honestly. Also, remember your teacher knows much more than you about how to get where you want to go, and will be just as happy to get you there as you are to get there - just listen and follow the instruction.
