About AJ
I am currently a 2nd-year dental student at the University of Pittsburgh. In undergrad, I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and a minor in Finance where I tutored most sciences, particularly OChem. I scored in the 99th percentile on my DAT with the following scores;

I enjoy working 1 on 1 with students to help understand topics that may not be as clear in a large classroom setting. Sometimes, it is extremely beneficial if the lesson is taught in a more personalized way. It is rewarding to help students overcome courses that may have added a ton of stress to their daily life.

During my lessons, I would ask the student to send me powerpoints, notes, and any information they receive for a particular class prior to our scheduled meeting time. This allows me to approach the meeting in a more scheduled/organized manner as to not waste time. I want students to get as much as possible from these lessons.
I worked with freshman and sophomore science majors (Biochemistry/Chemistry/Biology) in college.
Make sure they are willing to learn more about you as a person. As I mentioned, there are plenty of people who understand the topics being taught, however, without taking a directed approach it is difficult to feel confident that the material will stick.
