About Lucy
I have had over 200+ hours of tutoring students in all subjects K-3, spent over 50+ hours in elementary school classrooms
I have also worked with tutoring older students in AP Biology, AP Psychology, and Honors Anatomy and Physiology
I am currently pursuing a degree in Psychology and Education. I will be receiving my Masters In Education and Bachelors in Psychology once I graduate.
I enjoy spending time tutoring students and making information accessible and digestible for them, nothing is better than seeing students understand the material that initially seemed out of reach. All students are capable of learning and improving but it is important to understand their ways of learning to best connect and communicate the material.

First of all, I think it is important to not only understand the student's expectations but also parent expectations. Therefore, we would go through a process to understand expectations from both parties and establish/clearly communicate expectations.
Second, I would do an assessment of the student to get a better understanding of how much the student already knows so I can continue to build upon the previous knowledge the student already has.
Next, working with the student and parents, we would develop a plan together, whether that be a short-term or long-term plan so that we all know what the student and I should be working towards.
