I graduated from Rice University in May 2019. I have a B.A in Biochemistry & Cell Biology with an MCAT score in the 96th percentile. I have always had a strong passion for math and science and enjoy helping others understand complex concepts to better their knowledge. My hours are flexible and I can meet via phone or online. Bhangra Dance:
I have been dancing Bhangra on the national competitive circuit for 5.5 years, including captaining Rice Bhangra for two years and assistant captain of the Wisconsin School of Bhangra in Madison, WI for the past year. I'm very critical of form and pinpoint the specific issues that a dancer might have when learning a move to better their dance ability.
I privately tutored after high school and throughout college.
I have a B.A in Biochemistry & Cell Biology from Rice University in Houston, TX. I scored in the 95th percentile on the MCAT and tutored throughout my time in college. I received a score of 5 on the following AP exams: Physics C, Chemistry, Biology, Calculus BC, Environmental Science, English Language, English Literature, Statistics, Psychology, Economics.

I ask them to start with homework problems they are working on to evaluate the gaps in their knowledge or skillset within a particular subject. Based on that, I will priortize the concept they are struggling with the most. I also evaluate what their learning style is. If they are a more visual learner, I will create diagrams to assist in their learning.

Arun was a personable and knowledgeable tutor--despite having already gone through Differential Equations, he was persistent and patient. I, like many, don't consider myself a "math" brain, but Arun was willing to slow down and break down concepts into digestible components in a way that I was able to understand. He fully understood that not everyone can grasp a complex math course easily and he approached tutoring me in this course with humility and patience.
I often struggled in solving math problems (like in Algebra II and Pre-Calculus) but Arun explained concepts to me really clearly! With practice and through his help, I was able to perform better in classes. In Algebra, for example, I raised my grade from a B to a low A because of his helpful tricks for solving equations. Would definitely recommend as a math tutor!
