About Jeremy
100% of my students have improved by at least one grade within a marking period. 100% success rate over the last six years in GED attainment. I've tutored subjects ranging from elementary Math to collegiate Calculus.
I absolutely love improving the confidence and self-esteem of my students in mathematics. Mathematics instruction is a divine gift which I do not take lightly.
I have a M.Ed. in Education with 20+ years experience. I teach everyday of the week as a loving father of 3, as a Temple University employee and as a follower of Jesus Christ.
Simply. Improving peoples lives. I take personal pleasure when my students do well. There is no better feeling in the world. Just last week, I student of mine from 10 years ago, thanked me for motivating her and instilling a passion for learning. She's completing her Ph.D program.
As a former Electrical Engineer major in college, I found the "love" of teaching while helping my classmates. Problems that would take most students days, if not weeks, I had the "gift" to explain in minutes. One of my former classmates said to me, "You should be charging us for this, you explained it better than the professor!" The rest is history. I found my "gift" and wanted to share it with the world.
I have a Masters degree in Education and have been instructing/tutoring in some capacity for 20+ years. Currently, I teach at Temple University and I thoroughly enjoy the expierence.

Just two days ago, a current student, had taken his GED math exam nine times without passing. A little over three weeks ago, I promised him, I would improve his conceptual understanding and he would pass his exam within 30 days. One week before the expiration of this dealine, he passed his final exam. I have numerous events that are similiar in nature. This is my "gift" and I love sharing my "gift"

Perfect! I have only worked with Jeremy. I hired him to work with my daughter for algebra. She attends a private school and has struggled with math. She has worked with tutors in the past but Jeremy was different. Different in such a good way. First off he was not on a fixed schedule, which helped my daughter as she didn’t have algebra consistently on the same day esp with hybrid covid classes, he was flexible. When her schedule changed (and it did often) he adapted. When she had a quick question he was available. She gained confidence, which meant so much to her and me because she wasn’t struggling.
He always went the extra mile to make sure she understood the material and she was never afraid or held back a question. He is very easy to talk to. All of her sessions were virtual and there was never an issue with connecting.
One night she wasn’t feeling well and I had to cancel he was very understanding and as a mom I really appreciate that.
Can’t say enough good things about him and my daughter and I highly recommend him.
She feels confident enough to take a summer geometry course, knowing she has help if/when she needs him.

Very personable, caring and understanding
Mr Tinsley made working with him easy by making himself accessible. He would answer all questions I had to where I can understand and explain on the why and how of things. Moreover, his passion and belief within me, motivated me to continue and push to where I succeeded with his help. His attention to detail and how he connected the dots for me is also another enjoyable aspect in regards to working with him.
Jeremy was very patient with my child. He help instill confidence in my daughter. My daughter used to hate math. Jeremy changed that! She now loves math, and is talking about being an engineer when she goes to college.
