About Angela
I love helping students gain an understanding of how certain math topics work. I get so much joy when something they were struggling with suddenly becomes clearer and they gain the confidence to work on problems themselves!
I've been tutoring math for almost 10 years now. I've worked with students in person at after-school centers, as well as through online services.
I started tutoring online through a service back in 2012, which gave me alot of experience in using online classroom software and working with different students and math subjects (Pre-Algebra, Algebra I & II, Geometry, Trigonometry and Elementary Statistics).
Throughout the last few recent years I've been tutoring students part-time at a local tutoring facility and through Zoom.
I received my Bachelors Degree in Industrial Technology, which required me to take several maths classes like College Algebra, Statistics, and Calculus 1.
I never received lower than a B for my final grade in any of my Math classes throughout grade school and college.

First, I ask the student what they're currently working on. Then I get acquainted with their class resources (notes, homework format, etc.). Then I try to gauge how confident they are in the material they are currently working with, and see if any prior topics relevant to the current material needs to be explained.
Majority of the students I've worked with over the years are between the ages of 6th grade students and above (so around age 12+). I mostly tutor middle school/high school/early college math subjects (so anything involving Algebra, Geometry, Trig, and Elementary Statistics)
I recently got to see Patti Labelle in concert for the first time. Had a blast! I love music :)
