About Daniel
The tutoring I provide is exceptionally catered towards what the student needs. Whether it's help preparing for exams, completing homework assignments, learning studying techniques -- I am flexible to help with whatever the student needs. I also provide personable explanations and real-world examples to guide students in their learning.
Most of my students tend to begin our sessions with a reluctant attitude towards tutoring. With me, however, students learn to enjoy their time learning. More than a teacher that assigns work, I act as a resource for students to guide their learning process. I thoroughly enjoy working with students, and the relationships that I've developed with many of them is what motivates me to continue teaching.
I began teaching as a college senior at UCLA. I was originally headed towards a Financial Services career, but after teaching part-time, discovered my passion to work with students. I decided to pursue a full-time career in teaching and have been working with students since then.
I've successfully managed through the Business Economics and Accounting curricula at UCLA with a GPA of 3.7. Since graduation, I've worked full-time as an individual tutor specializing in college coursework and preparation (including the SATs and APs). Over the past year, I've taught over 30 students, ranging from high school students to professionals in industry. I'm very familiar with standardized testing content as well and act as a freelance tutor in online SAT learning.

The process normally begins with a casual conversation with the student about their learning style. After the student shares the process through which they learn best, we'll go over their goals and what they want to achieve through the tutoring sessions (improve grades, help with homework, etc.). Afterwards, we'll strategize a plan for how to approach future tutoring sessions. Then the learning begins!
High-school level students: Sophomores - Seniors
College-level students: Freshmen - Seniors
Graduate-level students: Accounting & Finance
Adults / Professionals: Doctors, University Students, Adults that want to learn new skills (e.g. Excel)
Instead of just looking for a teacher with the most experience or best education, look for a tutor that could help you with what your needs are. You can have the best teacher in the world, but if they don't "click" with you, it could be a smart decision to find someone new.

Details
My standard pricing ranges from $50-$60/hr, depending on the subject. There is also a $10/hr additional cost for in-person meetings. My rates are flexible for students who need help but are not financially able to afford my rates. Please contact me directly if this is the case.
