About Jae Seong
Hi there! My name is Jason No, an experienced tutor who enjoys working with students from all different backgrounds and educational experience. I specialize in mathematics, sciences, and standardized exams. Throughout my own personal educational pursuits, I have spent much of my time doing private tutoring. However, after graduating from Yale University for my undergraduate studies, I took a year to run a tutoring company as its Director of Education, building curriculum and personally managing the education of hundreds of students (the company currently still stands as a successful company in New Haven, CT!). My life in education continues currently as I pursue a medical degree at Weill Cornell Medicine - New York Presbyterian. My approach to education is designing a personalized plan for the student. Each student has their own needs with regards to content, duration, pacing, and personality. I work around both the student and the parents' needs to find the most successful support to provide the student with educational success. Whether it be last-minute prep help for an exam or extended, consistent assistance through a course or standardized exam, I work diligently to meet the needs of the student. Provided below are my qualifications and educational background! - Personal Details - High School Education: Bergen County Academies (Hackensack, NJ) - ranked #23 in the nation during attendance Undergraduate Education: Yale University (New Haven, CT) - Bachelor's of Science (intensive track) in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology w/ a concentration in Neurobiology Graduate Education: Weill Cornell Medicine (New York, NY) - M.D. candidate Standardized Exam Scores: SATIIs - Math 2c (800), Biology (800), Chemistry (800), Physics (800); SAT - 2350 (out of 2400; 800 Math, 800 Reading, 750 Writing); MCAT - 37 (98th percentile score) - Work Experience - Private Tutoring: 10 year experience with students ages 8 - 25 w/ students achieving perfect scores on standardized exams and successful admission to top schools Private Education Firm: Director of Education of Bulldog Tutors (New Haven, CT) for 1 year Yale Admissions Ambassador & Alumni Interviewer: Work with Yale Admissions Office and Alumni Student Association as an ambassador to various high schools in NJ and interviewer for admission in NJ and NYC.
