About Charlie
I am currently a Junior in High School taking AP Calculus BC. I have plenty of experience helping peers understand various types of math for years. Being able to help others has always been one of my main goals. As someone who is still a student, I feel like I am able to create a stronger connection while also really understanding what is creating confusion for the people I'm helping.

When working with a new student, the first thing I like to do is ask about their favorite teacher and why they're their favorite. By asking this, I can find out information that can make it easier to connect to the student. After this, I ask about the specific unit the student is in, and the types of problems they're having trouble with. Before deciding how best to help the student, I ask about why they think they're having trouble. A lot of the time, the students have more understanding about what's stopping them than anybody else.
