About Davis
As an environmental scientist and water resources engineer I use mathematics and physics daily to model physical processes related to hydrology and fluvial geomorphology. I hold a bachelors degree in environmental science with a focus on watershed science (the science and technology of watershed processes, monitoring, and assessment) and a Master of Science in Water Resources Engineering with a focus on river engineering.
Over the past eight years, my professional career with; the United States Fish and Wildlife Service, Natural Resources Constervation Service, and now in the private sector, continues to focus on the sustainable management and restoration of water resources and their associated aquatic, riparian, and upland ecosystems.
My passion for the environment and restoring ecological processes inspires me to the tutelage of aspiring scientist and engineers. In order to succeed as a scientist and engineer, one must have a solid understanding of the tools used to effectively analyze and compute problems. Though the theorems of mathematics and laws of physics might seem esoteric, they are very much within the reach of all who seek to understand them. My objective is to clarify the seemingly unclear.
As and environmental scientist, hydrologist, and water resources engineer, I have the skill set necessary to totor in the physical sciences and mathematics.
