About Ashton

I am a dedicated honor student who plays travel softball. My positive attitude rubs off on students allowing them to be the best they can be. I preach the importance of giving your all in everything you do. While I may be young, I understand every student learns differently. Some students struggle with staying on task while others are to focused. I believe in order for students to excel there must be a balance of fun and structure.

I enjoy helping others succeed. It brings me joy when the students not only learns the material they struggled with, but ends up mastering it. My brother use to struggle with reading in first grade. Everyday after school we would partner read children's novels. This helped him develop a better vocabulary. Today he's a freshman in high school reading bobs his grade level.

I have always enjoyed working with children. I understand every student is different and learns different. I want to make a difference in other lives. In addition, I'm getting ready to attend college and I'm saving up to purchase a used car.

I am one month away from graduating high school. My current GPA is 3.75. I have a little brother with ADHD. Over the years I have helped him stay on task and focus getting his homework done. Since elementary school I have been a teachers assistant and helped students learn to read.

I also have assisted giving hitting and catching lessons for softball.

Don't be afraid to fail. Ask as many questions as possible. There are no bad students only bad teachers.

My philosophy is ask as many questions as possible. It lets me know the student is paying attention and I have a better understanding of the students confusion with the material.
