About Ashley
Hi! My name is Ashley and I've been private tutoring and working as a tutor at elementary to high schools around Southern California since I graduated high school. I love being able to help students really gain an understanding for the subjects they're having trouble with and even make it way easier than it seemed to be. I have experience tutoring all age groups and a variety of subjects so I can help with anything you need. I've been in the same situation where I needed help with subjects and didn't know who to turn to, but now I get to be that person and I know the best ways to be able to teach and explain subjects.
I started as a private tutor right after I graduated high school in 2018, then I became a profession tutor when I started college where I was able to work at multiple schools.
I first started private tutoring in the summer of 2018. After that I was hired by my university, California state university in Fullerton to work as a tutor at multiple elementary, middle and high schools. I continued to work with my university and as a private tutor until January of 2021. Now I am just doing private tutoring as I am still going to school in college. I am a double major in Psychology and Nursing so I have a large background in math, science, and English.

When I meet a new student, I start off with introducing myself and try to really show that I am there to help to student and make them as comfortable as possible. I think it's really important for my students to have a good perception of me so that they enjoy our tutoring time. I then ask them about the subjects they're struggling with and where specifically do they need help. After that, we begin tutoring and figuring out how to make things make sense!
