About Mary Jane
I’m a certified K–12 teacher with experience across all grade levels, including special education. I’ve had the privilege of teaching in both Texas and Arizona, and I truly love what I do.
Teaching and tutoring are my passions. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing a student have that “lightbulb moment,” whether it’s a big breakthrough or a small step forward. I enjoy working with students of all ages and helping them reach their full potential. I can’t wait to support even more learners on their educational journey!
I have my Masters Degree in Elementary Education. After deciding I wanted to go back to school after substitute teaching right out of college, it became clear education was my path.
I am a team leader at my school and oversee after school tutoring groups!

When working with a new student, I get to know their specific needs. Everyone learns differently and I am fully aware of this. I then take those needs in order to develop a plan to best serve those needs. I set goals and milestones to hit along the way to get the most progress accomplished!
I have worked with students ages 4 to 18 years old. I have worked with students that are hard of hearing, have ADHD and autism, to students that are writing their college admission essays.
Hire someone that you have a good feeling about. You’re allowed to shop around for tutors!

Perfect! Mary is a wonderful tutor in Austin who has helped both of my kids You know your tutor is great when your third grader asks to see her more often! Mary is great with math, reading, writing and Spanish. Highly recommend : )
Perfect! Mary is amazing. She has been tutoring our son (7) for the past year and a half and now tutors our daughter (5) as well. She is practically part of our family now.
