About Jeff
I will teach the student how to get started playing and enjoying the instrument. The student will learn chords, songs, etc. so the student can start playing right away.
I like to share my knowledge of the instrument with enthusiastic students so they too can play the guitar. Learning an instrument is a great choice of hobbies or vocation. There are so many sites where a student can learn how to play, but a teacher is very helpful for explaining what's going on. After 53 years it's time for me to share my knowledge and pass it on to others.
Just decided to teach this year.
I've been playing since I was 13 which would be 53 years ago. I've played in a number of bands including Big Baby at the present moment. I took lessons my first year then continued on teaching and learning by myself.

Depending on the experience of the student will determine where I begin. If the student has never held a guitar then I would start from the beginning. If the student has some experience, I would teach them from that point in their evolution: exercises, chords, songs.
I have mentored students through the years but never charged. Some were beginners and others were advanced.
If you want to learn quickly so you can play songs or play with others I can help you with that.
We played at a beautiful outdoor event.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Do I want to play formally or jam with friends? Do I want to learn the old way which takes a very long time or do I want to play as soon as possible?
