About Kory
I have been teaching guitar now for almost 7 years. I currently teach at Jason Fowler's Music Instruction in Festus, Mo and School of Rock in Kirkwood, Mo. I've been teaching private lessons from my home studio for a little over 2 years now. I also do a select performance group every summer with my students.

First I have to find out what you already know. Totally new to guitar? Then you've developed no bad habits! We will learn songs and apply theory to whatever technique you are developing. If you are experienced, I will see what you know and find out what you are wanting to learn.
We can generally learn just about any song you can think of. I prefer the student to pick the song because I want them to be motivated to practice.

Kory is a very patient instructor who is extremely good with kids. He allows them to pick a song they want to learn to play and dumbs it down to their level. In addition, he is very flexible and understanding.
Kory is really patient with his students, and takes time to make sure they understand what they are learning. I am amazed at how skillful my son has become under Kory’s instruction in just 2 1/2 years!
He is very knowledgeable and current. My son has been taking lessons for several years and thoroughly enjoys it. He is able to work around our busy schedule. I definitely recommend Meyer’s Guitar Lessons.
