About Ely
Our Signature Dance Series is a well rounded program that caters to the flamenco dance discipline. It focuses on footwork technique, upper body and fluidity of hand movements, as well as the body; dance choreography, and improvisation which debelops the creative side of a dancer. The program also provides a good understanding of different dance styles structures within flamenco, and the secret language that encompasses the most important elements at the time of executing the dance; these are with accompaniment of the singer, and the live guitar.
Flamenco De Perfil also offers seasonal workshops with renown artists from the flamenco world, mainly from Spain, that contribute and enhance our dance programs.

The most gratifying part of teaching and developing students into the flamenco art form, and dance, is seeing them grow, and see their progress, and accomplishments. It is when you see all the hard work they do, and how they blossom into great dancers, and artists.
My dance foundation, and discipline has been classical ballet from a very young age. After branching out to a different dance style, and form such as flamenco, I can see how important ballet is for what we do. It certainly gets you to have more control of the body, balance, and movement for sure. I've had the opportunity to train with different flamenco dance professionals from Madrid,Spain. I have over 8-10+ years under my belt dancing in tablao, and in theater. I still pursuit continuing education through workshops, and able to share with students, and future dancers through our Dance Series Classes.
