About Maria
I am a graduate educated, teaching certified Ivy League researcher who loves all things writing. My specialties include grammar, sentence structure, academic writing, and APA style, but I also teach English to speakers of other languages and am a published social scientist. I am excited to help students work on college applications or learn how to ace a term paper. The skills I work on are things students will take with them throughout their academic and professional careers. Let's get writing!

The first step is to assess the student's primary needs, then establish both short term and long term goals. For example, perhaps a student is struggling with a term paper. Their primary need might be learning how to read a syllabus for instructions and write in APA style. Their short term goal would be to earn a passing grade on their paper, and their long term goal might be to become a clear and conscise writer. Once the student and I have both agreed on their primary needs and goals, we get started!
