About Melinda
I have been a teacher for 20 years. I have a B.A. degree
in Liberal Studies with a minor in English. I have a Master's
degree in School Counseling. I have had extensive
experience in Tutoring.
I love teaching students how to read and write and seeing
them develop a desire to learn. I have a good rapport
with students and they respond well to my teaching.
I have a BA. in liberal studies and a minor in English. I was a substitute teacher for 19 years and I have tutored students for many years. I have the whole hooked on phonics program as well as reading books from Lakeshore Learning Store.

My process for working with a new student is to be kind to them and to respect them. I make learning something new a fun experience. I also try to build confidence in my students by complimenting them when they do well on a assignment.
