About Devon
I am currently in my final year of college at Robert Morris University, and I have taken many English Literaure and Writing courses. I am studying to become a high school Enlgish teacher! I will be student teaching this upcoming Spring 2022 semester!
I love helping students find a passion through reading and writing. I had such great English teachers growing up who inspired me to create the same spark they started in me within my future students.!
I first worked with first grade stuents the summer of 2020. I created lesson plans and taught these students during this summer. Last summer (2021) I worked at the local YMCA. Here I also created lesson plans and activities for the campers that attended the summer camps at the Y. Finally have observed a taught lessons for 8th Grade English Language Learning classrooms, 7th Grade co-taught English Classrooms, and regular-ed 7th Grade Classrooms. I have completed 7/8 semesters of my Secondary Education English major, and I have completed a Special Education Minor. I recently took the PA State PRAXIS Exam on the 20th of December, and I am awaiting the results.

Details
I equate a tutoring position to a TA (teaching assistant) position. Right now at the school I am student teaching at, they are offering a TA postion at $16.50 an hour. So I will accept $16 an hour.
