About Julianna
Hello, my name is Julianna Ekstrom and I graduated from Towson University with an elementary education degree. My goal is to help children become more passionate with their studies! I am here to help and work around your schedule when it comes to online learning. I am currently a 4th grade teacher, but I have worked from grades 1-5. Please feel free to ask me any questions to help clarify my abilites!
What keeps me coming back to teaching is the ability to develop excellence in the minds and hearts of students! I love interacting with them, I love learning from them, I love helping them understand the content of any course and I love when they see the connection between what they are learning and their lives.

When working with a new student, the most important aspect of the entire process is building a postive relationship. This will allow the student to become more excited and engaged about their studies. Prior to scheduling sessions I like to meet with the student and have a meeting where we get to know one another a bit. We then build an academic plan to help acheive their goals. Next, we come up with a set of goals and how to implement the plan of action appropriately in order to accomplish said results. Lastly, I create the plan of action for each student to meet the needs of challenging areas.
