About David
As an aspiring polyglot, I am very familiar with the difficulties of learning a language. The frustration, the fear of failure, and the embarrassment that all comes with it. It takes an immense amount of dedication to achieve fluency in another language. This is particularly difficult for those learning English! English, is a weird language but does not always seem to make sense. It can be frustrating and embarrassing when trying to speak or write. This is where I come in! I will help you with your goal of fluency through writing exercises and conversations to make you feel confident! With practice and dedication, YOU can become fluent in English. I will be there with you every step of the way!
I am a native English speaker from South Louisiana in the United States. Currently, I am working on my BA in English Linguistics and possess a BA in History. Over the past three years, I have worked with non-native speakers from different backgrounds and levels of proficiency. I love seeing students make connections and gaining confidence in themselves to go out and achieve their dreams!

I like to know the general background of my students, such as, where they come from?; what is their reason for learning English?; and how would they assess their current level? Typically, after gaining this information I will then ask their hobbies and interests. The reason for this is to concentrate on using English to describe or explain things about themselves. This can be playing video games, reading fantasy or fiction, writing, sports, or even cooking to name a few. Knowing their interests allows the student to focus on a topic and keep them engaged.
