About Tanya
I have been teaching English for over 15 years to adults. My background is in education. I find out what the students wants and needs to learn. We start each lesson with a review of what was learned before and a plan for what we will focus on for the upcoming lesson. Iam careful to review what you have learned, so that you are less likely to forget it.
Many of my students have mentioned that they like my lessons because I point out their mistakes when other people have not. It is easier to improve when you know what mistakes you are making to begin with.
I enjoy helping people communicate more clearly and hearing about the success they have had as a result of taking lessons with me.
I started teaching elementary school, but decided that I prefer teaching English to adult English Language Learners (ELLs) because they are usually more motivated to learn.
My background is in education. I have a Bachelor of Education degree from Purdue University. I often attend the INTESOL conferences to learn new ways to better teach my students.

English
I typically start with an assessment of the student's short-term and long-term goals along with an assessment of the student's current level of English. We then meet for our first lesson and decide on a schedule that works for both the student and the instructor.
I have worked with expats and their families who are on short-term assignments in the United States who are affiliated with international companies. Most of my students have already studied English as a part of their formal education. They just need help with "Everyday English," "Business English," or American accent training to help them understand the people around them and for them to be understood.
I am now working with an international student who is applying to graduate school to become a doctor.

6. Make sure that you get plenty of time to practice speaking during your lessons.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out

Everyone in my family have been learning with Midwest Languag Services, and really love our own teachers‼︎
My kids, 9-year-old and 12-year-old, love both the face-to-face lessons and the remote lessons. The classes are clear and easy to understand not only for adults but also for kids. Also, the teachers give the lessons efficiently and there's no waste of time.
We're glad that the teachers are teaching us with passion!Tanya is a driven, highly organized English teacher who develops inspiring relationships with her students. She has great classroom management skills and always prepares for her classes. Tanya’s classes are very interesting because she teaches the cultural topics that help foreigners adjust to the new life in the country. She is patient in explaining difficult grammar topics too. Additionally, she organizes different kinds of field trips that span the contact with real language and motivate her students to improve their speaking, reading, and writing skills.
Tanya gets along with anyone. She easily can understand and recognize the needs of other people and build strong and professional relations with her students. She is the best English teacher ever!
