I first get to know them by asking a few questions about them kind of like an online bio of themselves. This is the starting point to getting to know them. Then I will explain a little about myself and my experience.
This is followed up by explaining how I approach the topic they are working on. I will encourage them to ask questions any time especially if they have any concerns about something. Good communication is an absolute must.
