About Evan
My dance training and experience come from a vast background. Beginning as a competition dancer competing in all styles, to attending the University of North Carolina School of the arts as a high school student where I trained in modern/contemporary and ballet here I worked with some of the industry top choreographers and teachers and gained a wide range of knowledge from each of them. I graduated high school with a Diploma with a concentration in modern/contemporary dance. I currently train at Marymount Manhattan as a modern dance BFA major and will graduate in the spring of next year. My goal as a teacher is to spread the knowledge that I have gained over the years to the next generation of dancers so they are more than prepared to take on a college-level dance program when the time comes.
Teaching dance makes me happy because I know that my students will enter the dance world with a positive and healthy mindset while still have the gorgeous and strong technique every teacher looks for.

Depending on the type of class, I always being with an intense healthy warm-up. Following this we will work on specific technical aspects of the style (this may include turns and leaps, transitions, or center work if ballet class. The end of the class will consist of combining the things we worked on prior into a combination or using them for across-the-floor work.
