About Alana
In these hands-on Plant-Based Cooking + Nutrition Classes, you will learn to make some of your favorite dishes with a healthier, plant-based twist, using organic, all-natural ingredients.

Alana Berg is certified as a Holistic Nutritionist through the American Fitness Professionals Associates, as well as being certified as a Culinary Nutrition Expert through the Academy for Culinary Nutrition. She received her Bachelors Degree in Hospitality Management through The New York Institute of Technology.

Due to COVID-19, only virtual classes are being conducted at this time.
I enjoy educating others in how to make homemade, vegetarian dishes, transforming a "classic" dish, into a healthier and delicious one. I also enjoy educating people on the nutritional content; from identifying the health benefits of the ingredients in that recipe, to defining the key roles that the different vitamins and minerals play in our body.
I first started teaching my classes at a local senior center, and enjoyed doing that very much.
I am certified as a Hollistic Nutrition Consultant, through the American Fitness Professionals Associates. I am also certified as a Culinary Nutrition Expert, through the Academy for Culinary Nutrition.

First, I would contact the student, introduce myself, and explain how the process will work. I will then ask the student what class interests them the most, and which recipe option they have selected. I will also ask the student if he or she has any dietary requests.
Mainly adults
I would refer them to my classes, and provide them with multiple preview clips, to give him or her a glimpse of how my classes run.
