About Xiang
If Chinese is a complete new language for the student, I will proceed with a introduction about China as an old nation, its culture, its civilization, the number of Unesco world heritage sites (more than 1000), as well as its world renowned cuisine. I will also provide my students with the backdrop with the origin of Chinese characters- Jia Gu Wen (Oracle bone script). I hope my approach will give them fascination of learning the language.
I love to share my passion in reading chinese and english books as well as sharing my mandarin skills with others so more and more people can learn about China as a country which may be very different than what the media portraits.
I completed my high school study in a prestigious high school in my city in China before attending college in SUNY Stony Brook. I have taught many of my friends in college Chinese.
